Welcome, Timo Kehrer Prof. Timo Kehrer has joined the Institute of Computer Science in January 2022. With a PhD from the University of Siegen (DE), and after holding a post-doctoral research fellow position at Politecnico di Milano (IT) and being a visiting researcher at the University of Leicester (UK), he previously was an Assistant Professor at the Department of Computer Science at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin (DE). He is currently establishing the new Software Engineering Group (SEG) at the institute. He has active research interests in various fields of software engineering, with a particular focus on model- and data-driven methods which enable formal reasoning and simulation, and which facilitate the automated transition between informally sketched requirements or designs and implementations. Investigated application areas comprise classical information systems and web applications, embedded systems, automated production systems, cyber-physical systems, internet-of-things applications as well as scientific software and data analytics.
